Our Story
After more than 20 years experience as the Owner/Operator of the Miami retail landmark, The Christmas Palace, visionary entrepreneur Jimmy Knips founded LED are Us in 2008.
Jimmy was first introduced to the inherent benefits of LED Technology with the decorative lighting products that his Christmas Palace business had been selling to his customers for many years.
Then in early 2007, he began to notice LED Technology being incorporated into other lighting products and uses. Having already become a fan of LED, Jimmy decided to pursue a greater understanding of the future for LED Technology.
Having three sons in his family owned and operated Christmas Palace business, Jimmy engaged them to research all of the potential opportunities for the quickly advancing LED Technology.
As the family learned more and more, they became very aware of the huge advantages to their customers and their business if they became LED experts.
The Knips Family continued their LED journey by learning the business through trial and error, and then succeeded in attracting distribution partnerships with two of the most established LED manufacturers in the market: CREE and Luminoso.
Today, with over 10 years of experience and thousands of successfully completed projects, LED are Us is a National LED Solutions Provider representing dozens of the most trusted LED manufacturers in the industry!
